Federal, state and local benefits are available to eligible
veterans. All 88 counties have trained, certified Veterans
Service Officers that can assist veterans with their
claims and record search.

The United States Department of Veterans Affairs can

any questions you may have regarding your eligibility

Patriot
Program
The
PATRIOT Program is a pro bono program that provides
volunteer lawyers and special counsel from the Ohio
Attorney General's Office to assist military personnel
and their families with various legal issues including
exercising their rights under the Servicemembers Civil
Relief Act, formerly known as the Soldiers' and Sailors'
Civil Relief Act (SSCRA) and the Uniform Services Employment
and Re-employment Act of 1994 (USERRA). Legal assistance
is available for wills, powers of attorney, living wills,
and durable powers of attorney for health care. The
Attorney General's PATRIOT program works in cooperation
with the Judge Advocate General offices of the military
branches of the Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve
(ESGR) to provide these services.
